Dear Metallica,, the brain is a strange and awesome organ,, it controls so may functions that we never notice til they go wrong. since you're posting under the OCD thread, i suspect someone has pointed out to you that this seems to be behaviors outside your control. let me just caution you, this condition does not respond well to meds, so be very careful letting people talk you into trying this and that. the one thing that does seem to help, is calming down. i recommend meditation for that. if you would like to try acupuncture, it has also been known to work for some. let me know if you would like to talk about these things, as i am an OCD survivor,,, GUS
