Talk to a psychodynamic psychotherapist about the fears that come up for you in social situations so you can understand the fears and work through them.
When you understand what they are, how they work, and what they mean to you, their power will lessen. As the fears subside, you will find yourself feeling much better and able to do the things you want to do.
