I haven't read through all the posts here, but I do have a comment. I find that when I go to support, whether to give or receive, I ask if I'm interrupting, and most people will say no because they don't want to be rude and then I wait silently a while to see where the conversation goes, if I'm really welcome there or not. I know it won't always work out, people stop talking when someone enters the room, or they talk about something else, but it gives them the chance to say that I am interrupting, and I think people shouldn't feel bad when someone says they are....
