The better and more medical records the better chance you will have of collecting ssi (or ssdi). From personal experience I suggest you contact your local MHMR (Mental Health Mental Retardation), they will assess you and help you with medications and seeing a psychiatrist on a regular basis. I am only assuming you live in the U.S.? You can do a google search of your county and the mhmr for instance I live in Tarrant county so I would type in "TARRANT COUNTY MHMR".
