Hi Elana05,

By all means, speak to your pdoc about your depression and PMS/PMDD.
I had intermittent severe PMS (maybe 8 out of 12 cycles) and co-morbid undiagnosed bipolar disorder. I was started on an SSRI and became manic.
However, once a mood stabilizer was on board, I stopped having the cyclical PMS. I also stopped caffeine, lowered my salt intake, started eating healthier meals and began to exercise. I think the combination of the meds and lifestyle changes made all the difference. Best wishes, Laurie
