My father-in-law is looking for a house to buy because he is planning on leaving his current wife. The catch is that he doesn't want anyone to know besides my husband and me. He is telling his wife he is helping my husband and me to find a house. This is the same story he is telling his ex-wife (my mother-in-law). I don't like the lie because now my mother-in-law thinks my husband and I are looking for a place near her. (My father-in-law is looking for a house about fifty miles from here where is he originally from and where she lives). I refuse to go there to visit her because I am not going to pretend I am wanting to move there. I am not going over to his home either because I am not going to lie to his wife. I don't like being in this situation. I wish my husband hadn't agreed to go along with this. He said he is just helping his father. If my father-in-law wants out of his marriage, he should just get out. For crying out loud, he is 71 years old. This is his third marriage.
