I have been volunteering at the World Equestrian Games for the last 2 weeks & have several more days of volunteering to go this week until next Monday (the day after the games are over). I have days where I feel totally exhausted as it's a lot of hard work doing the planting of the jumps & setting up the flowers for many of the events in the arenas & hauling mulch & getting it set up to set the flowers in. I can really understand why I am on disability as I couldn't work this hard for very long without completely collapsing, but it's really an accomplishment & so much fun meeting people from all over the world & talking to the competitors & watching them warm up & perform in the areas I can see them (without buying tickets since I don't have money for tickets).
Also, I hadn't cleaned my kitchen for almost a month & I got the floor mostly washed (had my dog tied up there when I first started volunteering). Had tomatoes & other fruit I hadn't had a chance to eat that had gotten over ripe & smelly...it smelled so bad, I almost couldn't go into my kitchen without getting sick feeling.....so I got that all cleaned up a few days ago....now all I have to do is get the dishes put into my dish washer & cleaned.......the worst part is over as it was really gross.....what an accomplishment to get through that.....was just to busy to do it & when I wasn't busy, I didn't feel like dealing with it......so it was definitely an accomplishment.
