I keep reading how 300 mg a day of XL is the "usual" adult dose.

I feel like such a damn failure today because I can't tolerate 300. Like somehow I'm faking depression because I managed to feel better on 150, and since I can't take 300 the doctor will want to switch me to something different. I HAD side effects on 150, but not like this. Even the Ambien taken at night isn't getting rid of the insomnia. I ended up taking two Benadryl at midnight. Still couldn't sleep, but I must have dozed off somewhere in there because I had another creepy dream.

However, if you have liver dysfunction, it's not recommended to take more than 150 mg every other day, so less than 300 mg IS given to some people. I want to be one of those "some" people.

I'll say it again - I felt normal. I know it couldn't have been a total placebo effect. Bupropion is sold as a street drug because of the activating effect; it gives people a high. Well, I can't think of any people who would wait 4 weeks for a high, so some of the immediate effects had to have been real.

I'll just shut up now.
