is there any way that, even though you will just be meeting this person for the first time and may be a little nervous, that you could explain what you just wrote to the dr? it might actually be in your benefit that you are switching... things can be re-evaluated from a fresh perspective, ya know? maybe a different treatment approach is needed. if you have been on medication and you have found it to treat the symptoms you do have, though, i would also state that. i think perhaps if the dr is a good one he/she will hopefully listen to and appreciate what you shared here about noticing the some of the symptoms in yourself after doing research for your son.
