 Having to continue to live in a non-supportive household is tough indeed. I'm sorry you don't currently have a safe place, but that shouldn't keep you from trying to make one! Since you already have a history (reputation?) for liking the closet, can you create a space in yours again? One is never too big to do good self care, and if that's what works for you, go for it.
