I am just curious AppinIsobel; where does your personal interest in schizophrenia come from ?
I have taken anti-psychotic medication in the past for short periods of time. A couple of times I felt like I needed to take it. I also had it forced upon me once back in the late 70's, and all on the whim of one Christian fundamentalist psychologist. All he had to do was sign a paper. I still don't feel like I was a danger to myself or anyone else at the time.
My episodes came to an end when I reach 30, and it wasn't because of any anti-psychotic medication. I realize that people vary in their experience with psychosis and medication, but I would hate to see a law passed where one size fits all.
