haha.. i notice the snaity detector didn't reject the doc's post... coincidence?
birdie... if you look at the reaction you had and how the idea of "supernatural" stuff happening is sending you into near crisis, is it any wonder that a site would recommend against it for MI peeps? In all the years i spent working with ill people i can tell you that spiritual/religious stuff is one of the top things to really mess them up.
it's the very fact that one cannot prove or disprove things of that nature (which is why they are called faith-based) that causes issues... i wouldn't try to dissuade someone from believing in something spiritual if it doesn't cause outright harm, but hallucinations can take on the form of spiritual experiences (and some might say it's the opposite). Either way... it can be difficult to navigate and create a lot of problems if you don't have guidance from someone you feel you can trust.. seek that in the flesh birdie. Online would not be the best place for someone in mental health crisis to seek spiritual information imo...
i am guessing that site has had it's share of problems and that's the reason for the recommendation
one can't sue a site for limiting it's membership... try joining the MAsons and see what happens
