They are placing the onus and the responsibility on the member to not participate when they are liable to have an episode.

It's the member's responsibility to withdraw themselves temporarily or permanently at their own discretion.

Forums are supposed to be an extra to life in the round where one can check out all sorts of social cues. In forums none of us knows why the other members are posting what they are posting, really. We have to rely solely on the words. This is also the reason we can put another user on "ignore" mode.

Another member can be describing alleged "spiritual" experiences solely to wind people up. Someone who is on the verge of an episode is going to be least able to see through this and the first to be wound up by it.

It's our own job to decide whether the forum content is doing something good for us or not.
