I work with a lot of very good looking women for fashion and beauty photography. It isn't uncommon for some very beautiful women to feel suspicious about people's motives for complimenting them, or being treated with disdain for reasons they associate with their own looks.
Perhaps not a lot of guys have the same issue from women, but I can understand other people stereotyping a good looking male model as a pretty boy who doesn't have anything to offer but his God given looks - at least until he proves otherwise. That must be the down side of being dealt a good hand.
