I reported the water to the apartment office, and they were like: you should have called public safety last night because that is considered an emergency. The bad news is that the apartment office said that because it is not their responsibility to do the maintnance (it is a university property) I would probably not get reimbursed for the lack of heat for what has now become a week. .

Lonegael- I don't want to do anything to the heat that might make them blame me for the problem. As this is student housing, they should get this taken care of by maintenance.
