widgets; without a mood stabilizer taking the citalopram isn't a good idea. Prior to my diagnosis I was put on an anti-d and 3 weeks later I was in the hospital. The anti-d did nothing to lift the depression and just put me into a mixed state (depression and mania at the same time).

I hope you get to see a Psychiatrist soon and if you can't get in shortly speak to your GP again about what you can do in the meantime.
