Members do not have a choice if a thread needs to be moved because it was posted to the incorrect forum to begin with. We have specific topics here in the community to help people find the most relevant topics they're interested in. If people "feel" their post is appropriate to the general mental health forum (even though the post is about a specific mental health topic covered in another forum), they should not be surprised to find their post moved to the appropriate forum.

"Other Mental Health" forum is a forum of LAST RESORT for topics that absolutely do not fit into another topical forum. We are very aggressive about moving topics out of that forum, to encourage people to congregate in other forums and stop using it as a general catch-all forum for any topic that may or may not have direct relevance to mental health.

If you post something that says "delete this if you're thinking of moving it," we will delete it.

As a member here, you've agreed to the community team moving posts as needed, so none of this should be a surprise.
