I understand the curiosity that leads you to do some dangerous experiments, but why on Earth would you call on an entity (formerly living or otherwise) that you know to be evil? You're only asking for trouble.
Due to my own curiosity, I have used a Ouija board solo, which is supposed to be a no-no; however, I call upon God and Goddess for protection, and put a circle of salt around it. If I sense an evil entity, which makes itself obvious when my hand becomes ice cold, I immediately say Goodbye.
I have actually visually seen spirits twice. Once was my ex-husband's grandmother in the room in which she died; the other time it was no one I knew. I have also captured spirits on film. Photos of myself are usually surrounded by orbs. Then again, I am a Witch (Wiccan religion). I know how to do a banishing circle if things get out of hand.
All I can say is be careful. If you're going to continue with spiritualism, at least do some reading and learn how to protect yourself. Negative entities can not only frighten you, but they can make mental illness 100 times worse, and can even manifest negative happenings in your life. Also, call upon positive forces (God, Goddess, angels, spirit guides, etc.) throughout the day. Make sure the spirits know which side you're on, and you're more likely to attract positive entities.
No, you are not crazy. There are many other dimensions and layers of reality other than what we can see with our eyes. That's one of the main problems I have with psychology- it does not recognize the other side at all. Everything is a "hallucination" or "delusion." It's why I went so many years without getting help for my bipolar- I didn't want to be on any medication that numbed my senses. Some meds do; the one I'm on now really doesn't, so I'm happy with it. I still feel like myself, and can sense energies, but my moods are stablized. I have seen too much proof of the other side to discount it as all delusion.
