Sorry your mum treated you like that.

I have similar memories --- I felt dirty and shameful. I learned what little I knew from a wonderful loving neighbor mom who had two daughters - she had them look at the natural process in a beautiful way-- which I tried to adopt-- but it was difficult when I was at my own home. Going through the first few times alone was scary for me- my mom saw the whole thing as an inconvience as she had just gone through menopause and didn't want to be bothered ever again in any way with such "dirtiness".

Hooray for you, that you didn't have much trouble with those girl things! Glad you got this off your chest- and me too!
