A correct diagnosis can be a very helpful thing, Miss Laura. (I was misdiagnosed and mismedicated by a GP resulting in 3 years of hell-- so can assure you what a good thing a correct diagnosis can be! )

It is ok to go on your own. You can do it. Is it far? Are you going to be driving or public transportation (or walking? ooooh, how lucky it would be to be so close as that!) That said, I'd sure go with you if I could! Seeing how I'd have to be in..... hmmm, let's see.. Scotland? Oh yeah. (Been to Ireland twice for a total of 6 weeks, but never Scotland... sigh)

You know... if you are diagnosed BP, it is not an altogether terrible thing, so don't worry overmuch about it. It already is what it is whether it is named and treated or not. And better to know what you're dealing with, right? And most importantly, it'd just mean you're one of us! Mwahahahaha! BPers may have a wild ride and suffer much -- BUT! are also some of the most interesting and creative people on the planet! So there!

(Should send this off right away, with the time difference you might be about on your way and wanted to catch you with some encouragement!)

Lots of and !!!!!
