I've struggled with SI'ing all my life. For what it's worth, once I went into menopause, the urges were not nearly as intense. That confirmed what I always knew...hormones and my menstrual cycle often wreaked havoc with me.
I've also struggled with depression. Get it all going at the same time and it's pretty ugly. When I was younger, swimming laps helped a lot - I like the feel of the water, it's soothing. Now, my main "diffuser" is lifting weights or worse case, snapping a rubber band on my wrist. I have permission from p-doc for that one. She knows it's better than the alternative.
I can only share my experience, I wish I could do more. Know that I care and I'm thinking of you.
