I think the " Announcements of one's own Web site, new resource, or book" is intended against people posting to advertise or with the intent of drawing people away from this website... i.e. people posting an "alternative" to PsychCentral forums... that's just bad net etiquette and there is a disclaimer against that in most web forums that I know of.

I think there is no harm in posting a link to your personal website, I'm assuming you are not blasting PC there or anything that would be "conflict of interest".

Again, if I'm wrong in my interpretation one of the mods will let us know.
