I too agree with BiPolar Bear.

An appearance of a new alter is bittersweet at best. I think it shows that you are reaching an internal place of trust with your T and that the more vulnerable parts are feeling comfortable and safe revealing themselves to T. I see this as a sign of progress. I have had an alter come out before. I have had some that seem to have gone back in and others who have not gone away, but seem to blend with others. In my personal experience, I see my alters as soap bubbles....they are not stationary, they can be blown around by the wind of my life. At times they will be closer to other alters or floating in a group, then at other times they will piggy back with other bubbles for a bit...but they're able to move around a bit. I hope this makes some sense.

Like I said...I think it's good that an alter feels comfortable to come forward.

I have one that's been around for a while.....but all she does is sleep. When she does wake....things get a bit difficult.

Hang in there!! It sounds like your doing really good work with T.
