I'm like you, SunnyD - I was misdiagnosed for years and wasn't properly diagnosed until this year (I'm 52). I think maybe maturity is a factor in being more compliant. In everyday life, young people seem to take more risks. At least I did when I was younger. Also, having the wrong meds was awful and now I feel so much better, I can only attribute it to the meds.
