Family members aren't best friends either. (My husband is my best friend, though). Sounds like you really want them to understand BiPolar like it is a test or something that they will either pass or fail?
I know that I can adjust my disapointment or frustration by changing my expectations. A person can set their expectations to the point where they can make themselves exhausted.
