I have an excellent book (TrinityDancer recommended it ) The Subtle Power of Spiritual Abuse that "recognizes (and helps someone) escape from spiritual manipulation and false spiritual authority within the church."
Abuse occurs anywhere it can get a foothold, even in church, even at PC.
