Well, my T told me yesterday that he was taking a class on DBT. He is trained in CBT. He said DBT is "CBT on steroids"
I found this link that I looked over and it looks like DBT is a very intense program:

I also know some of you guys are in DBT now. I was curious if anyone had other links about DBT your T uses with you? But I was also curious if anyone had a T who mixed CBT and DBT? My T is very much his own T - which fits my personality perfectly! So he mixes a bit of this with that and it works. I think I would like to use some of the skills I just read about at this link - but I sent the link to my T and told him that I wouldn't just start doing them - that I would wait for him to pick out what he thought I should do. But I really want to get stronger in the emotional regulation area of my life. I am too exhausted with being exhausted! I know I can emotionally regulate myself, I just need to learn the skills!
