Thanks for making this thread. I have been feeling quite depressed lately...recently OD'd, went to hospital, and came out, and yet I'm still feeling down. For this semester I'm not attending school, so I really don't have much to do. I feel pretty useless and like a loser right now. I really would appreciate any ideas for things to do to keep busy.

Thanks again!

P.S Good luck with the success of your thread!
I had a good month this year, August, in which I kept busy doing things I loved every day. Art is what helped me the most. I painted with watercolors and on canvases, and I sketched, and I practiced my musical instruments. It kept me in a neutral mood--neither happy nor sad. But keeping busy is the best way to not be depressed, because if you keep yourself busy enough, you can't think about it. Do something you love. Whatever it is. Researching science experiments keeps me busy, too. Get yourself dressed up every day. Do your makeup and dress in something cute. Sports are also a great way to keep busy. Don't watch TV because that just makes you feel even worse. Keep talking to people and stay close to your friends, but don't complain to them. That'll scare them away. Get out of the house. Staying in bed all day makes everything worse. Get a job or take a class. Basically, distract yourself. Or make yourself happy by doing what you love. Hope you feel better!!
