So over the holiday I am going to see my mother for a brief visit.
Today I talk to her on the phone and she says, "On this day you're going to take me to the doctor because I can't drive there myself."
I'm sorry?? What the h%@l. I know she feels uncomfortable asking me for things. I know she has a hard time asking anybody for anything.
But where is the respect?
I took a deep breath and said, "Mom, I would have liked it if you asked me."
Then she thinks I'm upset because she's asking for too much.
She is SO clueless sometimes. I had to say to her like 5 times... it's not that I mind taking you it's that you didn't ASK me, you TOLD me. But she doesn't listen.
It's like she doesn't even get what I'm saying...
