I agree your mother does have the right to act legally on this - he did break the law. I think your husband must be very desperate for the money to pay these fines - like the old saying "robbing Peter to pay Paul".

Feeling livid is an awful feeling...I've been there. I would usually construct a far better post, but I'm feeling down ATM myself and lose my creative writing ability. I didn't want you to be waiting for responses while being livid. Don't make any sudden decisions about divorce when you're upset.
