Any action or object can become part of the ritual no matter how simple... the key component is meaning, what these things mean. In my mind a couple of Tea can hold quite a lot of meaning after all just look at the Japanese tea ceremonies... and same goes for simple objects that become meaningful symbols for us. The power is in the process of attaching meaning, discovering meaning, and then ultimately, in reconnecting to that meaning when we need it.
