The license code was emailed to me by the company when I purchased the upgrade. I have the original disc for the older version, but the upgrade I only downloaded from their website after paying online.

So when I paid and downloaded, they sent me a new code in the email. Usually I copy this email to the same folder with the download for safe keeping, and update my list of codes with the new info.

My list has a code from two versions back. My saved email has the code for the previous version. The code for the current version... not saved anywhere (other than that original email).

Just had a thought while typing this though... wonder if the previous version can read the backup files for the newer version? If so, I can get install that, get that email, and then I should be good to go!
