Hi Moreta; glad you like your new pdoc. It really depends on your symptoms. For some people with BP especially BPI even with a mood stabilizer or anti-psychotic it still can push them into mania or hypomania.

I have been on anti-depressant since I was diagnosed (wellbutrin not a SSRI), but my initial diagnosis came when a SSRI anti-d I was prescribed put me into a mixed state and I was admitted to a Psychiatric hospital. Now as long as I'm on a mood stabilizer I have no issues with anti-d's.
