My dad is doing better. Thank you so much for your prayers and wishes. He went to the ER and was told he didn't have the Guilliome Barre syndrome by the doc there because he didn't have muscle weakness or slowed reflexes. He was told to follow up with the family doc and also referred to a neurologist. The family doc said that the ER doc was retarded because in the beginning stages of Barre syndrome, muscle weakness and slowed reflexes aren't always a symptom... sometimes they come later in the illness. Either way, my dad responded well to the pain meds and he's feeling a little better. The family doc said that this is probably a mind case that is on the downhill slide of running it's course, but went ahead and told him to follow up with the neurologist just to make sure. He's not sleeping a whole lot just yet, but more last night than the previous few nights. He's going to try to go to work tomorrow (tues) and see how that goes. He'll hopefully continue to feel better and also get in to see the neurologist sometime this week. Again, thanks everyone. Take care.

Ryan
