How about if someone makes a post you are afraid of on your thread, you just don't read it? Don't click on the link. Essentially you could ignore the post without putting someone on ignore. (and yes, I know this is easier said than done). I think I read a post from zh about reading in threaded mode which could also help you to avoid posts from anyone you wish.

You could try telling yourself that any poster who offers you support that is not of the kind you are looking for is simply not meeting your needs, for whatever reason. I know there are tons of folks here who would offer you support and understanding of the kind that sustains you.

That said, I'm sorry you are having a hard time, and I hope that things smooth out soon.
