i've been meeting with recruiters all last week and this week, and there all saying the same thing that the market is really soft right now. I originally told one recruiter that I wasn't interested in a job, because it was below my minimum salary. But now I'm getting scared, so I emailed him and said I wanted to apply for it. On the plus side it's with a big company so there'd be opportunity for advancement, but I'd probably have to give up my car as I can't see affording it and insurance payments on the lower salary.

I don't know - maybe I'm panicking and should try and hold out til I find something at a higher salaray, but I want to get back to work.

It just feels really discouraging to be applying for a job that pays the same as what I was making 10 years ago. And I still have to get the job.
