Muser, I think part of the problem might be that people like us try too hard to actively find self-worth outside ourselves. It can't be found, it's an inner state of being that comes from realizing you accomplished, or are trying to accomplish, something, no matter how big or small. It's not as important to actually accomplish something as it is to try, to give it your best. At least you can take pride in having made the attempt, even if you failed.
