After reading this thread I felt I would like to add something. About 3 months ago when I had my open heart surgery, a man I met a few months prior to surgery, held my hand while I was on the ventilator. I told this man , Bruce is his name, if i felt pain on the ventilator I would squeeze his hand. I did feel pain and I squeezed his hand and he got the nurse to give me pain killers right away. As I looked up, he wiped my tears, and I saw him crying. This man works in the medical field and he would wipe my as... if needed. We have only known each other for a short while. He doesn't say that he loves me, but by his actions he sure does care. When we go to a movies , I swear he is holding my hand and taking my pulse. He comes into the house holding a blood pressure cuff and asking me how is your BP today? He can work any where in Mesa, but he choses to do his EMT work at a near by station just to keep an eye on me. I asked him if he would go to the hospital again with me and hold my hand, during my second open heart, with tears in his eyes, he smiled an said sure I will be right there for you.

Just had to tell my story. Yes, love can be expressed in a lot different ways, but their actions is what does count the most.
