hi. i find that i am fighting the desire to eat more all the time. first, i ask myself if i am really hungry. i ask myself when was the last time i ate and, if sufficient time has not passed to warrant another meal, then i don't eat anything. sometimes, i ask myself, do you want to eat this or do you want to lose or maintain your weight. if i decide that i'd rather lose weight then i don't eat. lately, i will ask myself what else can i do that will satisfy my need to fill myself with something. alternatives are reading, listening to music (dancing to the music really gets my mind off food) or going out for a walk. i love to walk. i've also learned to love fresh brewed unsweetened iced tea. my favorite beverage has great flavor and no calories. i drink lots of it and don't feel deprived. another remedy to is plan meals that require preparation that you really look forward to. it changes my mindset in that i see meals as an earned reward rather than instant gratification.
