Oh, I realize the lightbox is way more effective than the kind of lightbulbs I'm talking about. Prescription versus OTC in a sense. I thought maybe it would be an alternative that might give at least a little help on those non-lightbox days.
I'm not a fan of dull, dark winter myself. I don't know if it would qualify as SADD, but I definitely feel tons better during the long daylight seasons. I'm always on my dad's case to at least open up his shades to help battle his depression.

At least he keeps his south-facing kitchen windows open to the light.
Now I'm curious. So lightboxes are similar to tanning bed bulbs without the bad aspects? That would explain why I always felt so good after tanning. I quit, knowing the risks outweigh the benefits.
