Sometimes trying to STOP or CONTROL emotions can be damaging (stopping bad thought is still good though). Don't judge or condem yourself for what you feel, acknowledge it and try to let it pass by, like a cloud in the sky.
When you need comfort and to withdraw and hide, let yourself, be aware of what you are doing and enjoy the comfort of your PJs, bed, couch and TV or books...
Allow yourself to indulge, but then go back out into the world, refreashed, being gentle and sensitive to yourself...
