This is what I think of as "night terrors". There is no reason, from what you say here, to feel paranoid. However, I know how terrifying it can be to see both the familiar waking and the intruding dream world coincide. Meds or coming off meds can cause this, as can, I am sure, many other things. But the dream itself is no reason to feel paranoid. If you have reality-based reasons for thinking you should tighten security, make sure the windows are locked and/or that you are in a safe place. Otherwise, I would not give it much thought.
