It's really difficult to get out of that mindset. Also, exercise is good for us so it's easy to kid ourselves that we don't really have a problem. And I totally know what you mean when you say you're not just exercising to burn off the binge, you're mainly doing it to feel better. I'm the same. I was really using exercise to boost my mood ("runner's high" etc). Not that there is anything wrong with exercising to put you in a good mood. Just, when it gets excessive and starts taking over your life and it's the only way you know how to feel good, then it's a problem.
Does your T know you have an ED? I hope you're able to talk to him about that part of it. And that he and he can help you work on ways to moderate the exercise and the binging. Good luck!!! ((((((((trixielou))))))))))))
