Well, today was going ok. Then, BAM. Devin (hubby) calls and tells me he just got fired. We just bought a house... moved to a new town (the same town he was transferred to for this same job), and he's the main source of income.

Here's the reason he got fired (another reason I am angry about all of this). He was a loss prevention manager at Lowe's Home Improvement. A woman came into the store and admitted that she just stole some merchandise, felt too guilty about it, and wanted to bring it back into the store. So, Devin told her to wait in the store managers office until he could find someone to handle the situation. He even had another female employee to sit with her just so he didn't have to sit in the same room with her alone.. Anyway, apparently the day before all this happened another loss prevention manager at a different store (in the same district though) had detained someone against their will for stealing something... that's a BIG no-no. Because of this corporate management temporarily banned any member of loss prevention from detaining anyone in ANY way whatsoever. Meaning that if someone stole something then the LP managers couldn't stop them no matter what. And this ban was to stay in effect until further notice. Well, since he asked the lady to sit in the office (NOT against her own will I might add... remember? this woman willingly came back into the store on her own and wanted to give the stuff back)... he got fired for asking her to sit in an office!!!! And he even let her know that she could leave at any time. But she wanted to stay there until the matter was resolved. But, Devin got fired because of it. Makes me so angry. They said he had to be fired because of "technicalities". What a buncha BS! So, now my husband has NO job here during the holidays. Geez..what a depressing day..
