It's great that you have this awareness now ((((whoswho)))) That is worth so much. It may not make the anxiety go away completely, but it creates some space around it, whereas before it was all-consuming. That perspective really helps me and I do think it is progress. Even if the anxiety is still there, if we can change our relationship to it and see it for what it is, that creates some distance to it and gives us breathing room.
