I get the German thing A LOT from Americans. Holy cow are people into German. I always thought french was the language of laugh, not this sledghammer of a language.

As far as triggers go, the color white would be one. As in white bedclothes, white lingery (or however you spell that, pristine and clean, it symbolizes innocence, and who does not like to corrupt some innocence.
