(((VenusHalley))) I'm in my fifties. My heart goes out to your generation. I'm actually looking forward to passing that 2012 mark. Maybe then people will get their heads out of the clouds or out of the sand and get back to caring for this world and those who inhabit this world.

It appears to me, generation after generation, history keeps repeating itself. But we never learned from our mistakes, we only figured out how to sweep them under the rug. The birth of technology has made our world not only global, but transparent - we can no longer hide behind closed doors because we all live in glass houses.

I hope you and your generation have the tools you'll need to make this world inhabitable for all of you. On behalf of my own generation, I'm sorry for making such a mess.

As the late Leslie Nielsen (RIP) would say .....
