BP my friend, (((((HUGS)))))

I am sure that everyone at sometime or another gets their feelings hurt, becomes angry - (Gessh - I do that just about everyday), and deal with "stuff" they don't particularly understand, or even want too (hey - sometimes it just doesn't pay to go there). Can I ever relate. Could we be brothers?

I never saw my grandfather cry either. Boy, was he ever a man among men! He was really tough - had to go to work at age 14 to support his mother, 3 sisters and 3 brothers when his father was killed in a mine accident on Christmas Day. To the day he died - he hated Christmas and it was never celebrated in his house. He was tough on everyone, but tougher onhimself. Looking back - I sure miss him. He was my greatest friend ever! He taught me manners, discilpine and how to drive - Boy did we have fun!

But we live in the modern world and I find no wrong in a man crying. In fact, although I prefer that no one ever had to, it touches my heart that a man can be man enough to cry and show he hurts too.

It shows character and that's something you've shown a lot of - even in the short time I've been here. You have nothing less than my respect and admiration - something you've earned and I feel fortunate to know you.

Your friend Sam
