I get them too. Only maxalt works at home. At the drs they give me a shot - forget what- but it lowers my blood pressure and gets rid of it. I've had them so bad I've vomitted. Nobodys given me narcotics but next time I get one as horrible as the one last year, I'll go to the ER. Problem is, people who drug seek use "migraine" as an "untestable" excuse to get drugs. An ultrasound or petscan would show a migraine or not, I'd think.
