Came home after making pet food deliveries tonight to find my good old neighbor standing outside my door talking to my cat through the window. Mind you this guy has no coat on and it's freezing outside.
I guess I need to grow a backbone. Problem is, I don't know who to call to get help for him. I don't want him standing outside my door and I told him very firmly "do not stand outside my door". Five minutes later he is back. It's really annoying to have him back. Guess if he can act well enough to get home so he can drink, he can comprehend "go away".
Guess I am just venting here. And for those of you who know the situation (came up last summer) it's really getting creapy. Left a email and voicemail for the landlord. Was working on my budget numbers for my nonprof group and he knocked 5 different times. I finally had to go to the library to go online but when I got back, he was there.
Do you all think I should call like the mental health police? Whenever this guy is sober (which was sometime last week when he got out of the nursing home) he is fine. His brother has all but dropped him as a person and I just am at the end of my rope.
I guess this guy really likes to numb out or something but I'm having to do a lot of deep breathing exercises. Trying to focus on other things.
What do you all suggest?
